Good Shit Swims – A list of other sister swims that will knock your socks off.

Our NEKOWSA swims are challenging to the best and accessible to all. They are held in some of the great fresh water venues in the Americas.  They are well supported and safety conscious swims for all abilities, young and old alike.  Our swimmers have ranged in age from 4 years old to 78 year’s old.   We offer four divisions, Skins, Wet Suits, Adaptive and Canine.  We welcome swimmers with challenges who need (or simply like) to use flippers or other adaptive devices such as snorkels.

The Daily News of Open Water Swimming has selected Lake Memphremagog and Lake Willoughby as two of the 50 great open water swimming venues in all of the Americas.  In doing so it noted, “[T]he clarity and tranquility of the lakes [of the Northeast Kingdom] rival any in North America…. [They are] geological aquatic marvels.”  Kingdom Swim has been selected as one of the top 100 swims in the world.  Willoughby Swim and In Search of Memphre have made the list of the top 100 swims in the USA.

  1. Hey Phil after swimming SCAR maybe I can make it 15 miles for border buster–any room left? Sue

    1. Congrats on your swimming at SCAR. I’ll put you on the waiting list at Border Buster. We have room for one at the 15-mile Georgeville or Bust on Monday, July 18th.

  2. All swims look great, was wondering how much the approx cost would be for swim the kingdom week (2017) and the cost of a kayaker, would be coming from overseas
Also the same with annual kingdom swim
    thanks

    1. No Justin. Only the male and female winners of the 25 km Border Buster and the 10 mile WOWSA Championship Swim. We have cedarwood medals we call “woodals” and completion rocks that everyone gets. Winners and placers also get Brault’s fresh made beef jerky.

  3. I know registration closes Aug 1st for the 8 day swim, but it looks like it is full. Are there any spots left?
