Burke Mountain Hotel, catering to the year round offerings of East Burke and its environs, skiing, biking, hiking, and, yes, open water swimming.  It’s a perfect stay if you are doing The Moose in June.  And, if you are swimming Willoughby or any of the other lakes during NEK Swim Week, it’s a relaxing getaway after the morning swims.  It’s also a perfect place to stage a weekend at Kingdom Trails, the very best mountain bike center in North America.

The Highland Lodge, in Greensboro, VT, is a classic lodge with cabins, dining, and bar.  It’s beach on Caspian Lake makes it a perfect swim retreat and great lodging for the Willoughby – Caspian weekend.

A Place in Time B&B is another favorite.

Lake Salem Inn has gotten great reviews from runners, bikers, and swimmers alike.

Derby Line Village Inn is a magical stay within sight of the border, with just the best Austrian dining in the northeast.  I know, I’m biased.  Fritz is a master chef, a master skier, and a master accordion player.
