Sponsors and Partners
Kingdom Games would not be possible without the support of some wonderful sponsors and partners, not to mention over 125 volunteers.
Community National Bank is the underwriting sponsor of The Dandelion Run. Serving this community for over 150 years, they now have branches in Central Vermont as well as throughout the Northeast Kingdom.
Burke is Back and what a great partner they have become. We are totally thrilled about the opening of their slope side hotel thisw past September September. Between Burke Mountain and Kingdom Trails, East Burke is renowned as a mecca of mountain biking in North America. With our partnership, we are able to offer some of the best road cycling in North America as well. Burke Mountain offers us some great prizes for our events, six packs of day tickets for the winners of many of our events and more.
Passumpsic Bank is the underwriting sponsor of Fly to Pie, Kingdom Marathon a full marathon running and biking event on dirt roads between the Airport in Coventry and Parker Pie, West Glover, with a great pizza party, all at the height of Fall Foliage. A great, community-minded bank, serving Newport and the Northeast Kingdom. They have supported Kingdom Games since the very start of these events.
Proud to say that my kids were “raised Jay.” The best glade skiing in North America, without question. Throw in the water park, the ice rink, the restaurants, and the hotels and condos and you can’t go wrong. Jay is not only a sponsor of our events, they shuttle bus us at the Dandy, Fly to Pie, and even In Search of Memphre.
NCH is the underwriting sponsor of Kingdom Swim. We are very fortunate to have one of the best damn small hospitals in the nation and a committed community of nurses, physicians, and other medical personnel. Committed to community wellness, they have supported The Games, like forever. And, they have served our athletes well when they have run into trouble, which happens every now and then. Great to know they are close by and so excellent when we need them.
Prize winning, Eden Ice Cider and the NEK Tasting Center on Main Street in Newport are the Underwriting Sponsor of our TOTALLY COLD, Memphremagog Winter Swim Festival. They are also a favorite stop for visiting athletes, friends, and family.
Couldn’t ask for better support of our road cycling events. Jeff Manning has been fixing last minute problems and supplying our SAG Wagons since 2007. He also offers rentals for those in need.
Vermont Sports Magazine’s sponsorship has helped us spread the word to tens of thousands of athletes all around the northeast and the nation as a whole. Their coverage has helped convey the special vigor, beauty, and fun of our “high level pick up games.” A great magazine and a great friend.
The Hamblet family believes in diversity. Where else can you buy undies and waders within arm’s reach. Parrots, iquanas, and pick axes and hoses, just to mention a few. While you are in town, you gotta stop by.
And, thanks to The Pick & Shovel, our buoys have anchors and lines and latchets to hold them in place.
If you’ve ever spent any time in Little Italy or the North End, you know the drill. Have a great dinner, then walk it off and go have get some coffee and cannoli down the street. The drill in Newport after a food feast is to wander down to Tim & Doug’s for just the best creamies. Or after a long swim, great recoveries happen at Tim & Doug’s. Just ask Charlotte Brynn.
The official Brew of the Games. This micro-brewery is taking off. Watch for them at the Party at Prouty following Kingdom Swim. Also, a great visit after a run, bike, or swim and part of our Rainy Day Micro-Brewery Tour.
The official Spirits of The Games with their tasty Barr Hill Vodka and Gin and their over the top Tom Cat Gin. We love these guys and the special drinks they have created for the games: The Ice Breaker and Pinky on the Rocks.
Talk about community minded radio, MOO92 could not be a better friend in helping to get the word out to locals to get off their butts and run, bike, and swim. In the wintertime, listen for our weekly “Ice Reports” on Friday mornings.
Newport Daily Express
The Daily Express has been a great sponsor and supporter of The Games and has covered our events coming and going, like no other. We can’t begin to say how much we appreciate their coverage and their support.
