Tour de Kingdom – Fall Foliage Tour

Tour de Kingdom
Fall Foliage Tour and The Moose Redux

September 22 thru September 24th, 2017
– we are –
The Place Where Fall Foliage Starts

We offer up some lightly traveled roads (“car poor”) with great views at just the most beautiful time of year.  A seasoned rider on our Ride Around the Lake last year exclaimed that it was, “The best ride of my life.”  Each day comes with fully stocked SAG support, lunch, route maps of our carefully selected roads, and some smiles along the way.  We offer four days of guided and fully supported rides on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, with The Moose Redux, a century timed event on Saturday.  Registration is now open for 2017.  Here’s what we got:

Friday, September 22, 2017 — Ride Around Lake Memphremagog: This ride is a favorite of our local Kingdom Velo Group – In 2010 we added this ride and folks really love it — a guided tour around Lake Memphremagog with stops at Georgeville, Magog, The Abby, and Mansonville. This 80 mile route is a great way to “warm up” for the weekend. Or do it as a stand-alone day and forget the rest. But, you better bring your passport! It involves International Travel and is just so much fun. We also offer a shorter ride up to Georgeville and back. We meet at The EastSide Restaurant, 47 Landing Street, Newport, Vermont at 8:00 am and leave at 8:30 am.

Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 — The Moose Redux.  We start at Mike’s Tiki Bar in East Burke at 8:30 am and head north up Route 114 through Island Pond to Norton and Canaan and then down one of the most beautiful and serene stretches of the Connecticut River before returning to Burke.  Here’s a link to Sunday’s Century Course Map.  For those looking to ride a shorter distance, we shuttle you to Island Pond and just do the Norton, Canaan, Bloomfield loop.

Sunday, September 24th, 2017 – Lake Region Century.  8:30am start.  At Mike’s Tiki Bar.  The route takes you through the legendary lake region of the Northeast Kingdom – by Willoughby, Memphremagog, Seymour and Island Pond before bringing you back to East Burke   Here’s a link to Sunday’s Century Course Map.  We also offer a less strenuous but equally beautiful 45 mile option that brings you along the shores of Lake Willoughby and Crystal Lake.  Here’s the link to the 45 Mile Course Map.

FEES: $65 PER DAY; 5 RIDERS FOR THE PRICE OF 4
