Tour de Kingdom 2018

The June Tour – June 8 -10, 2018 – Three Days of Fully Supported Rides

The Moose – June 9, 2018 – a 103 Mile Timed Event

Fly to Pie – Doin’ the Dirt – September 30, 2018 – 26 Miles on Dirt Roads

The June Tour is back.  We offer three days of fully supported rides on carefully selected stretches of road that showcase The Northeast Kingdom at it’s very best.  Quiet back roads that are favorites of our local cyclists.  Light traffic and recent repaving make for some of the best cycling in the northeast.  We provide the lunches, the maps, the directions, and roving SAG wagons that are fully equipped by the Village Bike Shop in Derby.  We love the coming of lilacs along the roadside and the lush greens that come with High Spring in the Kingdom.  Each day has long routes and shorter options.  Just like ski areas have differently rated slopes.  Great for clubs with varying interests and abilities in riding.

On Saturday, we invite you to DO THE MOOSE, a 103 “timed event” on some great stretches of wide, recently paved, “car hungry” roads.  We offer some great prizes for individual winners (six packs of lift tickets at Burke Mountain and day passes at Kingdom Trails), not to mention a pound of Brault’s Beef Jerky and some Couture’s Maple Syrup to the winners of the Team Challenge.  Then again, many may just want to savor a great ride, on great roads.

On Sunday, we offer a 45 or 75 mile guided and support ride through the Legendary Lake Region of the Northeast Kingdom.  A great cool down ride after Saturday’s century through some of the most beautiful stretches of roads anywhere in Vermont.

In the Fall, on September 30th at the height of fall foliage, Fly to Pie – Doin’ the Dirt offers a 26 mile road race through “the gut” of the Northeast Kingdom on “vista riddled” dirt roads.  We finish at Parker Pie, West Glover with all the pizza you can eat, Hill Farmstead beer on tap, and music by Beg, Steal or Borrow.
