Kingdom Games is proud to host over 50 days of highly acclaimed swimming, running, and biking events in 2025
Swim the Kingdom
- Memphremagog Winter Swim Festival – February 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24, 2025 – The only two-lane, 25-meter winter swimming pool cut in the ice in all of the Americas. We have expanded to three days of swims. 25-meter, 50-meter, 100 meter, and 200-meter races, plus the fiercest of hat competitions. Plus the Flag and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the EastSide and Warm Up at Jasper’s Tavern on Thursday and a Stay Play Jay Day on Monday. TOTALLY COLD. Online Registration for 2025 is now open HERE
- NEKOWSA Champion of Champions Challenge – July 5, 2025. Three staged swim: 6.5 Miles, then 3.5 miles followed by a 2-mile swim (Total 12 miles) out to and around the islands of Derby Bay on Lake Memphremagog
- Kingdom Swim – July 26, 2025 – Our Flag Ship Swim – A robust weekend, celebrating open water swimming in the Heart of the Kingdom in the Heart of the Summer. We open with our Memphremagog Costume Parade down Main Street in Newport followed by a scrumptious Swimmers and Yackers Pasta Dinner at the EastSide. On Saturday, we offer courses of varying distances including our 25 km Border Buster, 10 miles, 10 km, 5 km, and 1 mile. On Sunday, many go for an informal “cool down” swim at Lake Willoughby. NO LANES – NO LINES – NO LIMITS.
- Saturday Clubhous Swim Series – Summer 2025 – 12, 6.5, 3.3 and 2-mile courses. From The Clubhous out to and around the islands of Derby Bay on Lake Memphremagog. Offered from the middle of June, through July, August and the middle of September, on the following Saturdays:

- In Search of Memphre – Summer 2025 – Our epic, 25-mile, international swim between Newport, VT and Magog, QC. This year we are offering eight three-day windows in June, July, August, and September (we pick the best day of the three to swim) with room for up to three swimmers in each window. Each swimmer is supported by a motorboat and two experienced pilots. We swim to support a more open border with our Canadian friends and to seek our swimmer friendly and elusive lake creature, Memphre.

- September 8 – 10, 2025 – Our eighth three-day window
- Clubhous Cold Water Swimming – Spring and Fall 2025 – We will be hosting short, cold water swims at the Clubhous on Lake Memphremagog on Sunday mornings at 10 am during May and early June and again in October, November, and December until the lake freezes over, followed by another New Year’s Day Willoughby Swim on January 1, 2025. Spring swimming starts on Sunday, May 11, 2025 and continues until June 8, 2025. Fall swimming starts on Sunday, October 5, 2025 and continues every Sunday through December.
- Vampire Swim – October 25, 2025 – In venues all over the world, cold water swimmers gather to celebrate this ghoulish holiday. We donate blood and raise donations for the Red Cross. We swim in costume and howl at the Moon. This year we will be hosting a Vampire Swim at The Clubhous in conjunction with our cold water, cold blooded friends around the world. VE VANT YOUR BLOOD!
Run the Kingdom
- The Dandelion Run – May 17, 2025 – Half Marathon, 10 K, 4 Mile and 2 Mile – Run, Bike or Hike on dirt roads through the World Famous Dandelion Fields of Derby, Morgan, and Holland. Musicians sprinkle the course. It’s May! It’s Time to Run! Just for the Fun of It!
- Harry Corrow Freedom Run – July 4, 2025 – Half Marathon, 10 Mile, 10 K, 5 K and 1 Mile Runs and Walks – We celebrate Freedom from Tyranny, Freedom from Asphalt, and Freedom of Spirit. We run on the Bluff Farm Path, the Newport-Derby Bike Path up the east side of Lake Memphremagog and on the Memphremagog Trails.
- Fly to Pie, Kingdom Marathon – October 4, 2025 – Run, Bike or Hike – 26.2, 17, 13.5, and 6 miles – Doin’ the dirt through the gut of the Kingdom at the height of Fall Foliage. We start at the airport in Coventry (or at the Irasburg Common for the 10 km option) and finish at Parker Pie, West Glover. All the pizza you can eat, Hill Farmstead Beer on tap, some fine music. One of the toughest, most spectacular marathons east of the Mississippi. Just the best way to finish up our year.
Bike the Kingdom
- The Moose – June 7, 2025 – 103 mile “timed event” through Moose Country. We start and finish at Mike’s Tiki Bar in East Burke, VT, with a 66 mile Short Route starting at the Island Pond Historical Society. Moose Dollars all around to be spent at Mike’s Tiki Bar with 30 beer on tap, the Burrito Stand, and, in Island Pond at the Essex House and Tavern.
- Lake Region Ride – June 8, 2025 – A 44 mile “cool down” ride to Sutton, past Crystal Lake, and through the Willoughby Gap with a start and finish at Mike’s Tiki Bar.
- Fly to Pie, Kingdom Marathon – October 4, 2025 – Run, Bike or Hike – 26.2, 17, 13.5, and 6 miles – Doin’ the dirt through the gut of the Kingdom at the height of Fall Foliage.
